An Ultrasonic Probe Sonicator is a high-frequency sound energy device used primarily for the dispersion, emulsification, homogenization, and cell disruption of various samples in scientific and industrial applications. This is entry level Probe Sonicator. It operates by generating ultrasonic waves through a probe (also called a horn or tip), which is immersed directly into the sample medium. These waves produce rapid pressure changes, leading to the formation and collapse of microscopic bubbles—a process known as cavitation. In a probe sonicator system, the liquid processing capacity is closely related to the power output (wattage) of the device. For instance, a 125-watt sonicator is suitable for handling up to 150 ml of liquid, while a 150-watt model can process around 200 ml. As the power increases, so does the liquid capacity—250 watts supports 250 ml, 500 watts accommodates 500 ml, and a 750-watt sonicator is ideal for processing up to 1 liter of liquid. Regardless of the wattage, all models operate at a consistent ultrasonic frequency of 20 kHz, ensuring effective cavitation and uniform sonication across different volumes We offer three models in our Standard Probe Sonicator range.
